Cover Reveal: The Snake Den by Nikki Rae

Reveal

At long last the next book in Nikki Rae’s Shadow and Ink series is on its way! Today I am pleased to share a cover reveal for The Snake Den, book two in the series. The Crow Box was incredible and the cliffhanger Rae left us on means I’ve been counting down the days until the next one is released. If you haven’t heard of the series check out my review and maybe add them to your TBR pile. Rae’s books have always had gorgeous and creative covers and this one is no exception.

The Snake Den (The Shadow & Ink Series, Book Two)
The box has opened a door to the dark place where the voice Corbin hears dwells. Not only that, but she’s brought it forth in human form, into her world, into the light. But others have been alerted to her existence, and Six is only the beginning of the imaginary becoming real. Torn between her love for Six and wanting a normal life, Corbin must decide if she should live in the light or hide in the dark.

Before… They are the Musketeers–one for all and all for Rain, or however that saying goes.

Now that Rain’s sixteen, freedom is at her fingertips. Cliff jumping at the lake. Rain’s first tattoo. Spence finally asking her out. With her friends by her side, there’s no reason Rain can’t be happy in a world that constantly tries to extinguish her addictive, carefree spirit.

After… It’s just Rain. No misfits and no Musketeers.

Until Rain pulls up to her new summer job and discovers the two people she’s been hiding from–Spence and Landon– are her new cabin mates. Landon’s determined to help Rain overcome her guilt and remember what once was.

As they become closer, he awakens a part of her soul she never thought she’d feel again.

Making Rain wonder if, despite all the mistakes she’s made, it’s worth trying to get back to the girl she used to be.

Blurb:

Lemons are a curious fruit. Add enough sugar and they’re sweet, but not enough…

When I was fifteen, my best friend introduced me to his brother’s girlfriend.

She stole my ability to see anyone other than her.

She stole my ability to want anyone other than her.

She stole me.

When I was eighteen, I finally got to kiss that girl.

Two days later my family and I left Australia to live in America.

When I was nineteen, I met Sophie.

Then everything changed.

My perfectly constructed life, the life I’ve worked hard to create and maintain, started to crack.

Then crumble… then collapse.

I don’t want to be attracted to her… I don’t.

She’s disorganised and impulsive and messy… Shit she’s messy.

And beautiful.

God, she’s beautiful…

And mind-consuming and heart kicking and blood racing.

And gone.

Cover Reveal: Undeath and Taxes by Drew Hayes

Reveal

Today I am proud to participate in a cover reveal for Drew Hayes’ Undeath & Taxes, the continuing paranormal urban fantasy adventures about Fred the vampire accountant. I reviewed the first book last year which you can check out here.

Undeath And Taxes CoverAfter discovering just how filled with magic, intrigue, and adventure the parahuman world of being an Undead American can be, Fredrick Frankford Fletcher did exactly what was expected–he became a certified parahuman accountant. Myths and legends, as it turns out, are not so great at taking appropriate deductions and keeping their receipts, and Fred is more than happy to return to a life others view as woefully dull, expanding his accounting business to cater to various monsters and their respective financial needs.

Said monsters are, unfortunately, still spectacular at pulling Fred into trouble, though. And despite merely wanting to stick with simple paperwork, Fred once again finds he is going to have to deal with enchanted weaponry, government agents, possessed houses, and one enigmatic dragon’s interest. In the parahuman world, any business can turn deadly, even one as mundane as accounting.

Author Bio:

Drew Hayes is an aspiring author from Texas who has written several books and found the gumption to publish a few (so far). He graduated from Texas Tech with a B.A. in English, because evidently he’s not familiar with what the term “employable” means. Drew has been called one of the most profound, prolific, and talented authors of his generation, but a table full of drunks will say almost anything when offered a round of free shots. Drew feels kind of like a D-bag writing about himself in the third person like this. He does appreciate that you’re still reading, though.

Drew would like to sit down and have a beer with you. Or a cocktail. He’s not here to judge your preferences. Drew is terrible at being serious, and has no real idea what a snippet biography is meant to convey anyway. Drew thinks you are awesome just the way you are. That part, he meant. Drew is off to go high-five random people, because who doesn’t love a good high-five? No one, that’s who.

See Drew told about himself in first person on his website and twitter.
